Cleaning a Leather Handbag

Author: 20-Bags-N-Counting

After wearing a leather handbag around town for a few weeks, it’s more than likely to pick up some dirt and debris. Think about the air pollution that permeates most urban environments. Not to mention the food particles that get ground into the material every time you set the purse down on a cafe or bistro table. Your only recourse is to clean the Nine West handbags, but exercise caution so as not to cause damage.

Most purses and handbags come with cleaning instructions from the manufacturer. These should be followed above all else. Collect a clean cloth, a handheld vacuum cleaner and a leather cleaning product. Dump out the contents of the bag and shake out any dust or detritus that has collected inside. Vacuum the lining gently and spot clean the exterior before applying leather cleaner.

Author: 20-Bags-N-Counting

Italian craftsmanship stands head and shoulders above the competition in the luxury accessory market. Home to some of best known and most profitable leather manufacturers in the world, “the Boot” churns out quality handbags as if they were pasta primavera. It’s no wonder that such highly touted brands as Prada, Gucci and Giovanni Navarre use Italy as a base of operations.

Similarly, it just makes sense that the purveyors of high-quality designer handbags would pay special attention to the trends and innovative techniques coming out of the Italian market. For many women, an Italian leather handbag is just as much a status symbol as it is a functional carryall. When slung stylishly over a lady’s shoulder, the bag screams sophistication and attention to detail.
